Adding Functional Storage To Your Dining Room + Other Spaces
Our dining room is not overly large and has an open floor concept leading into both our kitchen and living room. Which unfortunately means we had no readily available storage in this space… until we added the Casper mid-century modern 3-door sideboard cabinet from LuxenHöme that is! This cabinet offers a sleek design and three large cabinet doors with a shelf inside each, ensuring storage for anything we need.
We are, what many would call, a ‘big family’. (Currently, we have 6 bio children and two foster kiddos…and actually just upgraded to a 12 passenger Ford Transit so we can all drive together places.) But as a large family, we LOVE spending time together; especially playing games. So while I originally planned to put dishes in our sideboard, once it arrived; I decided to make it a kid-friendly storage instead. While we actually have a dedicated game closet, it’s kinda far away so I filled one cabinet section with some of our favorite games that we play with the older kids often. This keeps our top choices close at hand for quick grabbing. The other side, I dedicated as ‘toddler land’. Our 2 and 3 year old have free access to some books and games they are allowed to grab and play with at any time, no permission needed. The middle section is still empty as I haven’t decided what we’ll store in there yet.
Our Casper Sideboard arrived just in time for our two toddlers’ birthday party and it came in extremely useful immediately. We typically don’t have a great place for guests to place gifts but the countertop space of this cabinet was perfect! It displayed the gifts beautifully until opening time.
Final Thoughts
I could not be happier with our buffet sideboard! Before I found LuxenHöme’s sideboard options, I was finding pieces for $500+ locally. Not only is my LuxenHöme sideboard MUCH more affordably priced, they delivered it to my front door. (Weighing in at 82.5 pounds, my back was grateful.) It is truly a versatile piece that would work well in an entry way, living room, dining room, office, and even bedroom. The modern aesthetics are on-point and the sleek design just looks fabulous no matter where you put it. Sturdy and well made, we love it!
I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
